Christ's Perfect & Unchangeable Priesthood

The priesthood of Jesus Christ is one of the most powerful and often overlooked truths in the Christian faith. The old Levitical priesthood, though given by God, could only cover sin temporarily. It could never remove guilt, produce inward change, or guarantee salvation. Jesus, appointed by God's sworn oath and serving forever in the order of Melchizedek, does what no human priest ever could. He provides full absolution of sin, sends the Holy Spirit to work within us, and always lives to intercede on our behalf before the Father. His priesthood does not shift, His character does not change, and His commitment to those who trust in Him never wavers. Our eternal salvation does not rest on our ability to hold on. It rests entirely on His ability to hold us.
