True Faith Is Shown In Endurance

Hebrews 10:26-39 contains one of the most serious warnings in all of Scripture, calling every believer to examine whether their faith is genuine. Willful sin is not the daily struggle every Christian faces, but rather deliberate, habitual rebellion against God with full knowledge of what is right. While a true believer cannot lose their salvation, there is a sobering difference between someone who truly possesses Christ and someone who has only been exposed to the Gospel without ever genuinely surrendering to Him. Rejecting Christ after receiving the knowledge of the truth is described in devastating terms, including trampling the Son of God underfoot and insulting the Spirit of grace. Yet for those who are truly His, suffering is not a sign of abandonment but evidence of the Holy Spirit's active work within them. True faith endures through hardship, produces visible fruit, and keeps moving forward even when the cost is high. The reward for faithful endurance is an eternal inheritance that cannot be taken away. Do not cast away your confidence, because the promise is worth holding on to.
