Faith That Endures

Faith is more than a feeling. It is a conviction that leads to action. Hebrews 12:1-4 calls us to run with endurance the race God has set before us, and that requires looking honestly at three things. First, we look to the heroes of faith who have gone before us, whose lives testify that trusting God is always worth it. Second, we look inward and lay aside every weight and sin, especially unbelief, that slows us down. Third, and most importantly, we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who endured the cross with joy and finished His race triumphantly. The goal is not comfort or ease, but a life of faith, finished well, with our eyes fixed on Christ.
